Government to Launch 'IKS Wiki' to Provide Authentic, Traditional Indian Knowledge |
In a significant move to preserve and disseminate Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), the Ministry of Education (MoE) at AICTE, New Delhi, has announced the launch of 'IKS Wiki'. This innovative initiative is aimed at promoting interdisciplinary research on all aspects of IKS and making this wealth of knowledge accessible for further research and societal applications.
The IKS Wiki is expected to be an important tool for the IKS Internship program, which is designed to encourage and enthuse youth to take up deeper study of various topics related to IKS. The program is particularly focused on promoting study in Bharatiya Bhashas.
The IKS division will conduct outcome-based proposal writing workshops to catalyze the synergy between the traditional knowledge systems and modern academic research. The goal of the IKS Internship initiative is to involve students in IKS research with an aim to increase their active participation.
The IKS centers will act as a catalyst for initiating research, education, and outreach activities in various parts of the country. These centers will play a crucial role in spreading the rich heritage of our country and traditional knowledge in the field of Arts and literature, Agriculture, Basic Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Architecture, Management, Economics, etc.
